A message to my readers...

Lately I've been thinking about discontinuing this blog. This is a difficult decision for me to make, since I have friended a few of you in real life, and I've grown attached to cyber friends whom I have not yet met. However, in the past few months I've simply had no time to post, and it isn't fair to those who follow this blog to look in their readers and wonder when I'm going to update again.

It's also a difficult decision because blogging and writing is a creative outlet for me, and I just haven't had the opportunity to put my thoughts down in any way, shape or form.

Things have been going wonderfully lately. The holiday season has kept me incredibly busy, and I really wonder what I'm going to do with myself when things finally slow down.

However, I being so busy has left me with very little time to read, and I know a lot of you come to visit to read my book review posts. Things have been so hectic, I've had to drop out of my book clubs.

I haven't been as active a commenter or poster on other blogs as I have been, either, and I feel badly about that, too.

It seems like this general sentiment has been permeating many of the blogs that I usually read. I know I'm not alone. A part of me feels that it would be best for me to stop posting, but another part of me doesn't want to leave anyone hanging.

On that note, I'll let you know my decision soon, kittens. Please note that it has absolutely nothing to do with anything negative happening in my personal life, it's just that I haven't had the opportunity to post. An announcement will be forthcoming later this week.

Kitten...I will hate to see you go. Maybe you could just take a long hiatus? I understand about not having enough time to spend on the things that you like...I am right there with you. Give it some more thought...whatever you decide, I will support you....

I was thinking that too about a month or two ago. It was like it was no longer fun. I just wanted to mess around on Facebook and a few crafting site. But this past month I just got the bloggy groove back.

Does this mean you are also leaving Facebook?

I hope you are having a good holiday vacation! My kids are:)

By the way! Regarding your post on increasing spammers: Yes!! At first they were attacking old posts with Viagra stuff but my daughter got a smutty one and I got hit on a current post.

I'll be sorry to see you go, but I understand. I have times when I just don't have anything to post myself. On a purely selfish note, I hope you choose to stick around, because I enjoy your writings, no matter how often you post. :)

Hi Kitten, I know that you'll make the right decision for you. I understand what you're feeling when it comes to finding the time to post. Blogging does take on a life of its own in a way. I've enjoyed getting to know you through your posts. Glad to hear that all is going so well for you. I wish you all the best in the coming year :)

If you decide to drop out for a while, we'll know you're back when you start posting comments on everyone's blogs:)

Keep it! It's YOUR blog. Even though I often wonder about blogs that haven't been updated - it's okay. I don't take them out of my reader. I might after a super long time, but several months, nah. They stay. Out of 200+ blogs in my reader, I'm plenty busy. KEEP the blog :) Update when you can. You would hate to lose all of what you have. Write when you have time and can enjoy it, otherwise let the pressure of posting go away! :) Happy new year!

Oh no! Well could it be the Holidays? I know I have been absent from bloggy land for the whole month of December.

I think all of bloggy land should take a break during the Holidays!

Waiting for your decision!
(by the way, you don't have to delete the blog, even if you post only twice a year)

Hugs, and good luck. We understand, at lease I do. I've been the same way the last few months... And I really don't have a life other than mothering and wifing. LOL! It just takes so much out of us, sometimes.

Ok. I would be happy to read you occasionally. A little kitten is better than no kitten at all.

Do what feels best to you ... even consider leaving it up with a "Taking A Break" post for awhile and see how you feel later. Either way you decide, it is most important to do what feels good to you. I've thought about quitting a few times but I just adjust my expectations and do what makes me happy and not feel obligated to do anything I don't want to do.

Wishing you the best of everything for 2010!

you could always say you will infrequently post. that's what google reader is for, isn't it?! I can catch up on you whenever you have time to post.

It's totally up to you however...so no pressure.

Don't go. Life has to go on and things twist and tun but it would be a welcomed surprise to look in my reader and say,"Ooooooooo Boooookitttttennn! wrote something". And feel all warm and gooey inside. Don't go. Just continue taking your break from one aspect of your life and come back when you can.

I have you in my Reader and read you when you do post. I don'
t feel like you have left me hanging when you don't post. Not at all. I understand that life can get in the way and that there are more important things. Why not just keep the blog and post when you feel like it or have the time. Don't feel like you have to post. I for one will be there when and if you do.

I hope you decide to continue, because I really enjoy your blog, but I'll certainly respect your decision either way.

Kitten, would miss you so much!
I understand though, as one of my goals is to streamline my online presence. A blog IS tough work.
Perhaps cutting back to 1-2 posts for a month or so and giving yourself time to recharge might do the trick.
If not, then know you will be missed...
