So I decided to take the plunge and register for some Internet dating websites. The results have been far less than promising...
First up, here's what eHarmony had to say...
And here's what Perfectmatch.com had for me...
Looks like I really AM fated to be a crazy cat lady...

Hubby and I did an experiment one night, just for fun--we each attempted to sign up for eHarmony. The site rejected us both. I think eHarmony rejects anyone thats even remotely mentally interesting. His depression and my bipolar disorder--I'm sure they went "oh HELL no!!"
BTW, we met on a message board.
don't give up! my friend met her husband (he's from England, no less!) online :-) They met from an online discussion board, not a match service though.
Find someone with similar interests, that's my unsolicted advice. My husband and I struggle at times because we don't like a lot of the same activities/hobbies. It's not divorce territory, but it can be a bit annoying at times.
I agree. Don't give up. You're not a crazy cat lady, but a cute CAT WOMAN!! Remember Halle Berry. She knew how to make the whole cat fascination sexy.
BTW, I know of two bloggers who happily found their spouses online. I believe that it can happen that way. Good luck!
The best place to meet a man is work. Because if they are the right man, you can get a new job. I am not saying it is a good idea work wise, but it is a good idea date wise.
You could try taking a class that men would be drawn too, like woodworking. Or a bookstore, I cannot tell you how many people I saw hook up there. I met my husband there. Also, CHESS.
Also, have you scoped out your friends Facebook friends? You can see relationship status and you already know how to meet them.
Also, tell EVERYONE you are looking.
Yep, wife and I met online. eHarmony can suck a fat baby's dick.
My son met his wife (married 2 years ) on Match.com; keep looking.
Your blog is great and WHO, does not want a home with several cats?? we have 4!
Hang in there, I know good things are waiting for you. I would try again, maybe your Mr. Right hasn't signed up yet!
It can really still happen. My daughter's boyfriend of 2 years is from the internet and my boyfriend is another blogger so you really can meet someone. Hang in there!
My boyfriend and I met online and 2 months ago moved in together. We met on Plenty of Fish -- you should try it.
We also have not a lot in common but I think that keeps our relationship interesting and I am always willing to try new things. Since we met I have been to karate demos, 4 wheeling events, camping, etc... never done or seen any of that before!
Awww don't let this get you down. Keep trying. I have two sets of friends that met online. One are married and one are dating. You will find someone great!!!
Until then...the kitty's can give you love, purrs, and kisses.
Oh good grief!!! Don't take that too seriously.
And if it makes you feel better, I met Mr. Jenners via Match.com ... and I know two other couples who met and married after using Match.com so maybe you might want to give that site a try. (Of course, that was 10 years ago ... it might have changed since then.)
Hey, one of my friends met her husband on line. It can happen. Try Canada...I met Jason there;)
