Clip of the Week: Canoeing the LA River
I honestly didn't know there was a river flowing through Los Angeles.
But count on Conan and Andy to navigate these waters.
I'm so glad Conan's on earlier. I can always count on him to make me smile. :)
(P.S. Yeah, I know this is the third Conan post I've done in the past week. But lately he's been the one thing cheering me up at the end of the day.)

Clips of the Week: Julie and Carol: Together Again
Just found this out via Marcella's site...iTunes is selling a Julie and Carol special!!!!!!!!
It's the last one Julie Andrews and Carol Burnett did together, Julie and Carol: Together Again. I just finished downloading it to my iPod and am watching it right now!!!! How excited am I??!?!
Now all the have to do is get the other two Julie and Carol specials up and I'll be ecstatic!!!!
(Oh yeah, and throw in the complete seasons of The Muppet Show, too...is that too much to ask?!?!)
In the meantime, kittens, watch some of these clips from Julie and Carol: Together Again.
First up, we have "The Tea Party," which has become something of a cult classic amongst hard-core Julie and Carol fans:

Clip of the Week: Money tree
About ten years ago, there was a very short-lived show on Comedy Central called Exit 57. It was a sketch comedy show that featured such up-and-coming stars as Paul Dinello, Stephen Colbert, and Amy Sedaris.
I watched it throughout my senior year of college. That show, The Daily Show, Viva Variety, and South Park were my television staples then.
Then I moved back home.
My parents didn't get Comedy Central on their cable until a year and a half later.
By that time Exit 57 was off the air.
This clip features a very, very young Stephen Colbert. It's very typical of the type of offbeat, wacky humor that Exit 57 was known for.
I'm going to share some clips from that marvelous show with you over the coming weeks. I hope, hope, hope they put this on DVD soon!

Return of the Clip of the Week!
I thought that this was an appropriate clip to mark the return of CoTW.
A little background on this song: It's sung by an Irish band, the Corrigan Brothers (although it says something different at the beginning of the song). In this song, the band offers its own special tribute to our new president.
And now for a little history, which I'm taking from an E-mail I just received (I got the video from the same E-mail):
Moneygall is a small village in County Offaly, Ireland. It has a population of approximately 300 people, has a Roman Catholic church, five shops, a post office, a national school, a police station and two pubs.
President of the United States Barack Obama's great-great-great grandfather, Falmouth Kearney , emigrated from Moneygall to New York City at the age of 19 in 1850 and eventually resettled in Tipton County , Indiana . Kearney's father had been the village shoemaker, then a wealthy skilled trade.
And now, the clip. Crank up your speakers, it's got some catchy lyrics:
