Modern Library Publishes Centennial Version of Anne of Green Gables

Just found this article on Slate. The Modern Library is publishing a centennial edition of Anne of Green Gables, which, as you all know, is one of my all-time favorite books.

The article has a well-written critique of the Anne series, including Anne's place in early-20th century feminism.

Take a look at it when you get a chance. Meanwhile, I'm off to Borders.com to try and locate the Modern Library edition. And if I can't find it there, I'll go to BarnesandNoble.com out of desperation.

Which reminds me, I haven't yet posted my treatise on Borders versus Barnes and Noble...

That'll be the next post.
